Reading: Fluency and Expression

The students are rehearsing for the recording of their podcasts.  They will be focusing on Fluency and Expression when reading out loud.

Here are the areas for practice:

Fluency:

Following punctuation

Words blend to form smooth sentences (try not to read one word at a time)

Pacing is balanced (not too slow/not too fast) so that you are easy to understand

Enunciating the words correctly (repetition will help with this)

Expression:

Voice changes depending on the meaning of the sentence (tone)

Voice changes depending on punctuation

Loud clear voice (adjusted volume)


Voice has different levels
