Poetry analysis
The students are beginning to analyze the poem "Dear Basketball" in preparation for writing their own original text.

The students will be looking at how to write with a unique voice, organize topics and sub topics purposefully and use specific language to express their ideas.
There will also be a speaking and representation component to this project. The work will be done in class, so step-by-step modeling and feedback can be provided.
